It should be pointed out that many, if not most, of the posters on this board wanted xCWT fired after two seasons as well.

I sure did. He was terrible until he hired a high school coach to save his bacon. I'll give him credit for righting the ship mid-season. I thought he was a goner after the Maryland game.

The same person who insisted that CWT open up the playbook and let Q cook...certainly you have heard that story...

Don't waste your breath.  If I've learned anything about the CWT tenure here from bullspenners it's that CWT could do nothing right, especially when he won recruiting battles against P5 schools for game/program changing players and maximizing their skill sets through game planning and playcallling.   However, Skip Holtz deserves no blame for recruiting guys that could only get it done in the classroom rather than kids who could do both.

I hate to inform you that the spread was a part of the offense before the hs coach got here.

Go back to QF wasted freshman year.  All we ran were spread plays. Yes, the offense still sucked, but the foundations were being formed before a hs coach was hired and before our auspicious start of CWT's 3rd season.

I know I am wasting finger time, but I had to.

No but flowers and the players insisted that they have a wide open offense. If not for Flowers Tag’s would be an assistant in Michigan right now.

no actually they didn't. Flowers told Taggart to trust him.

All college football coaches would be high school gym teachers without their talented players.

I think it's pretty obvious to say that successful coaches have their players to thank.

But the fact that Flowers requested to Tags to trust him is important. If that request had not been made one could argue things would not have turned out as well.
