The cheerleaders hold sign that say stand up I love watching the game and yes I do stand as I do at concerts its exciting and the team get excited when everyone is supporting them .🤘💖🐂🐃🏈

They should make another one that says “unless the old people behind you don’t like it” or “Jk this is Tampa”.

And I'm sure you realize that standing and yelling does pretty much nothing for your team.  If crowd noise was that big a difference we never would have won at ND, FSU and Auburn.  If may get you excited but outside of the occasional false start I don't see the big deal.  But I do like to stand when appropriate and stood through the entire WVU game at Ray Jay - sat during the timeouts.

As a former college athlete, I can assure you I typically operated at about 80%. Cheering loudly got me to 90%. Standing AND cheering is literally the only time I gave a 100% effort on the field.

You were looking in the stands to see if people were standing?  Okay, if you say so. I didn't play.  And shame on you for not giving 100% all the time. What did you do at road games?

Road games... it was just understood that the entire team was operating at a severe effort disadvantage. I mean, they had people clapping, some whistling, hell, sometimes people stood up! You can't compete with that. Some days, you just know you're going to lose because the other team's crowd stands for long stretches at a time, even through breaks in the action.

So, on road games, how demoralizing was The Wave when you were on offense?

Let's say the noise-o-meter is a 10. The wave is like a 14.

I may have to reassess my total disdain for it ...

Does standing make the team play better...is it louder to yell standing than sitting? What is the purpose? Do our players play better when we stand?

I sat there since 2005-2006 (this is my first year not sitting there).

Why were you sitting at Soldier Field for 13 years?
