Which would you rather have, Great O or Great D?

Obviously we would want a balance or be great at both, but since we can't have nice things would you rather grind out a win by one score in a defensive struggle out offensive one?

Follow up question, is it easier to fix offensive or defensive woes over time?

Finally, is the fact that our offensive scores so much a hindrance either physiologically or physically?  Since they know the offense can score are they just trying to slow other teams down or are they getting run down being on the field all the time?

Defense wins championships...and I do believe that the success of our offense has affected the psychology of the defense.  It's almost like they're trying to slow down the opposing offense rather than stop them knowing our O will score again.   No tenacity, aggressiveness, toughness, energy by the defense.  It's painful to watch.

Defense wins championships.

I think defense is bad because Woodie is horrible.

I'd rather have THIS offense. Love everything about it. I think the play calling is creative, and extremely effective for the most part. Explosive players all over. Everybody contributes (perimeter blocking, QF distributes the ball well, etc..). A thing of beauty when firing on all cylinders, like last night. It will be tough to assemble a group quite like this again. The defense is such a contrast. Just an unorganized mess.

Offense by a mile, a team with all defense and no offense is boring as s$#%.  We have been there many times and finished with a worse record because our offense couldn't consistently show up.  We are gonna win 10 or 11 games with a bad defense, I'll take that anyday.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
