Offense, but not just any offense...Gulf Coast offense is the only way to go!

Offense by a mile, a team with all defense and no offense is boring as s$#%.  We have been there many times and finished with a worse record because our offense couldn't consistently show up.  We are gonna win 10 or 11 games with a bad defense, I'll take that anyday.

This.

If we're still going to win (as postulated in the original post), I'd rather win fun games than boring games.

Also, an exciting offense should be good for recruiting both sides of the ball, while a boring offense isn't.

I want both. No reason this team can't be good on both sides of the ball.

Would you rather be Oregon from the Chip Kelly days or Alabama from that same time period? Saban showed, and continues to show, that great defense stops great offense. It may not always be exciting, but defense wins championships.

We can go back and forth about all the championships we've won, instead look at the ones who actually won some.

Bama wins on their defense. Without the incredible defense they're working with now that offense assuredly isn't carrying them very far. Its good but certainly not that good. Ours is better.

Defense wins championships. But, if your offense is hot garbage, you look like UCF. And F those guys.

Here is the thing we don't need the 85 Bears defense...just a avg defense and this team has one maybe no losses.

Great defense. Especially because it can set your offense up with great field position via turnovers and can even occasionally score points for you as well. A great offense can make bad defenses worse by continually putting them back on the field on short rest.

I am just happy to be winning games, there are about 100 teams who wish they were in our current position.
