I get there can be conflicts, but it's your **** school so make every effort (as you said) to show up for the second half.  I hope all the Greeks feel the way you do - disappointed in the scheduling but will get to the game when they can.  My money is on a massive exodus from the fundraiser to Ybor, not RayJay.

Contacted the active brothers and Theta Chi will be there along with some alums...I would have been severely disappointed in them if it were otherwise. Priorities!

I hope Harlan and the football team hears about this. I know you may be talking about a philanthropy event, but I know of at least one sorority that has a semi-formal tomorrow night. Ridiculous.

 

However, not surprising. This has happend before and the thing is, the majority of people don't really care. Saw a group of Pike's and sig delts wearing garnet and gold in tallahasse so they could get into the frat houses at FSU. Right then and there, I realized USF greek life is way behind other schools.

I don't understand how we were asked to be patient for 5 years but the now that we are 5-4 we are expected to automatically drop everything and show up. I TOTALLY agree that we MUST begin doing our part now that the results are evident, but it will NOT happen overnight.

I agree with that, if the "We" pertains to those of us out here in the real world. If you want to be a football school, football needs to be a high priority on campus. I find it hard to believe that any schools really serious about their football program have sororities/fraternities that schedule functions on home football weekends, no matter what their record has been in previous years ...
