Pretty most of it was ribbing, but I'm with JTrue...a few hundred guys won't make the program.

None of them were suiting up for the game last I checked.

The best outcome is they miss a seminal moment for the program (which it would be) and work to make sure they do not miss another.

Dumb to schedule an event the same day as any home game.

When I was in school the games were huge for greeks who many came just to party and mingle. I know a few who came to tailgate and not even go into the game, but most went into the game too.

Greeks really do act dumb sometimes though, this scheduling conflict is just another example.

I agree with that, if the "We" pertains to those of us out here in the real world. If you want to be a football school, football needs to be a high priority on campus. I find it hard to believe that any schools really serious about their football program have sororities/fraternities that schedule functions on home football weekends, no matter what their record has been in previous years ...

Greek life at USF is amatuer, very Busch league. Scheduling events the same day as home games... amatuers!

And it's a true fact, greek at usf is not like UF or FSU.

I get that these events are scheduled way in advance, but I would think someone would have the smarts to not schedule events on dates of home games.  We don't know kickoff until a week or so before, so err on the side of safety and go to the game

To plan events on Sat night was stupid but who cares a hundred people not showing up isn't a big deal. Ray Jay will be rocking that I know.

No I wasn't. Not saying its not an awesome time or not worth it or anything. My wife was in a sorority though and I was around greek life quite a lot. I like to poke fun at greek life though.

This is almost as bush league as complaining about officiating after a loss.

Who gives a ****? 6 months from now, the kids at St. Jude's are going to remember what his fraternity did for them Saturday night. Want to bet the football team football team doesn't even notice they're missing?

"Hey, little Timmy, remember that time half a year ago some kids used us as an excuse to party and chase ass, while donating 2% of their party budget?"

"Yeah! They are such brave, brave heroes!"

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

    Michael Kelly
