If you want to be a football school, football needs to be a high priority on campus. I find it hard to believe that any schools really serious about their football program have sororities/fraternities that schedule functions on home football weekends, no matter what their record has been in previous years ... if we had an OCS they could get there faster... Just sayin

The point of going to a university is for the education and the wide diversity of people. To act like every university student and organization must attend every football game is rather anti-universityish. I'd be willing to bet that the fraternity did not insult every student that did not choose to attend the philanthropy event. Kind of ridiculous to act like a football game is some critical growth experience for the students or requirement for attendance. 5

It has nothing to do with chasing ass. In fact, we (Fraternities) tend to bring sororities girls to home games that wouldn't show up otherwise. My brothers and I are pissed off about the entire situation and are trying to make it to the game by the start of the second half. BUT!Shame on you who are having a hissy fit while one of us chooses to express our disappointment in a scheduling conflict. Celebrate the fact that we actually have our priorities in order by choosing to contribute positively to society rather than add to the garbage reputation of the collegiate Greek community that's developing in the media.I'm still a guy who is passionate about USF football but I understand that having an impact on the lives of others is worth more than indulging in temporary pleasures. Pretty most of it was ribbing, but I'm with JTrue...a few hundred guys won't make the program.Do your thing, then try to get to the game late, if you can. But, feel free to protest so next year, so such conflicts arise. And, if fairness, we didn't know till recently if this game would be at noon, 330 or 700. And, not every one at every school is a rabid fan.

I'm still not sure what the point was with this thread to begin with and why you wouldn't think you'd catch some **** about it on a board loaded with USF football fans. Maybe it was some kind of fraternity initiation...
