This debate is going to be settled by the new year. Let's shelf the argument until both have their hires, then we can compare the new Miami head coach to whatever Sun Belt special teams coach UCF hires.

No, they'll just wait for one of the incumbent P5 coaches to have a scandal so they can hire that one at a discount. :FIREdevil:

doubt Hitt is going in that direction. It will most likely be a rising coordinator like DJ Durkin, Pruitt, or Collins.

 

Miami will probably go for someone that has already been a HC

Interesting, but I don't understand it.  It's not like their recruiting is suffering.  Per Rivals, for 2016, they are currently ranked 9th, 2015 they were 26th, 2014 they were 12th, 2013 20th.  Those numbers are outstanding and place them 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the ACC every year.     Yearly top 25 recruiting classes do not correlate to a talent issue to me, if that is what he was getting at.  

Like most of the recruiting arguments, because someone commits to the U they are almost always upgraded.  That same kid commits to USF and he's downgraded.

And I'll take the UCF fanbase anyday over Miami within the State of Florida. A good UCF team will get 40k + in an intimate college first venue
