Knowingly breaking the law.

Dumb decision.

I have no sympathy.

Don't want to be arrested, don't break the law, even if the law is harsh, no excuses for stupidity and ignorance.

Stupidity is a problem, too.

Oh it was very stupid. Just saying that it's not like he was a drug kingpin - nobody should be sitting in jail with a felony charge for a tiny amount of drugs.

So we add this to the two kids shooting holes in a dormitory.  I don't remember their names but are they permanently off the team?

As of last interview, Taggart said no change.  They are still off the team:

#USF's Taggart says there has been no change in the statuses of Lamar Robbins or Benjamin Knox. "Nope, those guys are still gone."

If he wasn't carrying drugs to begin with them he wouldn't have to worry about the difference. Instead of making excuses how about taking some responsibility. Illegal drug posession is, wait for it - illegal. Either follow the rules that society has agreed to or go move somewhere where you can go smoke your weed, make it with a goat or whatever else you want to do that's illegal here.

Just follow the rules. They are generally in place to HELP you.

Exactly! I realize an 18 will make bad decisions sometime but this is not like skipping a class or getting a speeding ticket. Hopefully, like the others, he will learn from it.

Are we starting to pay the price of the better talent being brought in?  Or have we been having these issues all along and I just don't remember them?  I remember the Mike Ford driving stuff and one guy accosted his girlfriend (but don't remember how long ago or who that was).

Who does it help to put people in jail for having some pills? If its prescribed to some people, why not everybody. I am pretty disgusted in the fact that a supposed free country picks and chooses people that can use certain substances legally, but for other people using the SAME EXACT THING get a felony charge. Its mind numbingly stupid. We as a country need to stop prying into everybodys lives as long as they arent hurting anybody. Hes a football player going to college. I dont care if he has pills, and in my eyes, is doing what hes supposed to be doing

Yeah! **** prescriptions! What kind of a country regulates the sale and illegal possession of highly addictive drugs made for treating psychological disorders?!? America is the worst!

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."

    Jim Leavitt
