All I have to say is: forward pass and in game adjustments. When we figure out that Mack up the middle won't work on every down, things may improve a bit. The problem is that if it's not run up the middle then it's run to the left, run to the right, or let's try jet sweep that might be fun. It seems like a majority of his playbook is plays that start behind or within 2 yards of the los. How the hell can we compete? Eating the clock can hurt just as easily as it can help.

3rd & 4th down. No imagination. Anything try to run an option, run outside, do anything but try to overpower anyone. The oline is improving, but they can't really overpower anyone when it counts.

Whatever improvement there has been, it's not nearly enough. As for the Taggart era, I thought there was basically no improvement from year one to year two. A softer schedule was the only difference. In the 4 wins, we barely squeaked by against 3 of the worst teams in the FBS, and Western Carolina (McNeese certainly would have beaten us that night). If there has been any improvement at all this year, it's been on defense, but we will never get it done with this offense. We may be positioned well for next year with a new coach and Woulard being eligible. This will be a very frustrating year though. Think Skip Holtz' last year here. That's what I believe we're in for. Somebody name one remaining game on the schedule in which you don't think we'll be out-coached.
