The offense is already built around Bench.

I just hope if we need to go pass-heavy, we put SB in early enough to take advantage of a less tired O line. I'm all for giving QF his time to mature & find a groove, but if it's not working out well, just go to Bench early and give him time.

[edit] - and for pete's sake if QF is moving the ball well, keep with him!

I think myself and other expected QF to get all the game reps up to Memphis. That is b/c he was giving QF the best possible opportunity to improve without risking our conference W/L ranking. If we fall behind like we did in the FSU and MD game early in the 3rd qtr, I am not sure what CWT will do.

To be honest I will not be mad if QF starts against Memphis. If he does well, then CWT will have proved many of us wrong by developing QF as QB to where he could win us some games.

IMO I think the reason we were able to move the ball better for that one drive against MD with QF in is because MD was trying to keep everything in front of them and happy with eating up the clock. While there where some mistakes from WR we mostly stalled out as an O with QF against MD (and FSU for that matter). My prediction against Memphis will be more of the same 1-3 plays where the coverage completely breaks down and QF will have a chance to make a pass play.

The one thing I assume we can all agree on is that he shouldn't start one QB and then make some weird, arbtrarily-timed and unbreakable pinky promise to the other than they will get some specific series late in the game regardless of how the other is doing or what the situation is. How bizarre that was...

I don't think anyone will argue against that. And his explanation of why he did it was, just sad...

I can't be the only one who thinks with the right coaching Bench is a serviceable D1 qb. I just don't think he's gotten the chance to develop.

Careful Slick...you are about to unleash a fury upon yourself. Go back a couple of pages to see how that goes...

Make me number one and a number two. That makes a number 3.

It's impossible to make a #2 without a #1.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
