He may not be as athletic as Flowers but he is by far the better passer. Bench also has a little bit of a running game himself. If we had a serviceable QB that can manage games we can pull of some wins. If Tags sticks with QF, any smart opposing coach will just stack the box and make QF beat them with his arm. I am convinced QF cant do that.

I think Tags has brought in a bunch of talent and this team can be good, but we need a serviceable QB.

I agree, we are very one dimensional.... we are not going to win much like this

We would be better off to put both bench and flowers on the field for a few plays and mix it up where bench throws some and qf run some. That way we would at least make the defense have to guess and would open up both the passing game and running game as the d would have to be prepared for both

In Quinton I trust...well at least for a season until Woulard becomes eligible.

QF made really good reads during all the readoptions and his receivers didnt help him at all. The TE quitting on the ball in the endzone and that BIG drop near the sidelines in the 4th quarter that wouldve gone for a TD. That and FSU defense was having a hard time bringing QF down for sacks the whole game, hes a fighter and competitor - Grothe like.

Bench wouldve had more or less the same output this game minus maybe less rush yards, maybe even more pics, kid is an INT throwing machine.

Stick with Flowers Tags.

No. Flowers should start and Bench should come in if he struggles. So far QF has thrown for 4 TDs in two games. This offense is predicated on running the ball and hitting the opponent with long passes. That offense runs best with QF leading the team.

Let's see how it works vs a Maryland before we start asking for replacement in starters.

Agreeing waiting to Maryland, but any offense predicated on running the ball and hitting the long ball is obsolete

We don't really know that Bench is the better QB because his playing time has been very limited. I would like to see him get a fair shot to see what he can do in this system.

Flowers only had 38 yards running yesterday. His escapability was impressive. My thoughts on Bench are that if he can open up some downfield passing game and get some playmakers involved it opens up the running game even more. He has also shown he can run fairly well. Assuming he can bring 20 to 30 yards on the ground himself, if he opens up the downfield game that 15 to 20 yard difference on the ground between him and Flowers means nothing.

I would really just like to see what he can bring.

Works fine for many teams. Tech, Navy, Auburn

Stop comparing him to grothe please it makes my inner soul die a little each time. Dud e does not inspire and isn't a leader. Need to run the triple option or play Bench.

Grothe had accuracy his freshman year Flowers doesnt.

Sure he had some drops but our lack of a consistent passing game will cost us games.
