This will be the first off season that I'm not excited about the next season.

Oh well, I guess I'll plan longer tailgates...

If this is true, maybe there was a rift between CWT and the last two OC's which may have caused some challenges on the offense.  With CWT as HC/OC and no official OC on staff Kinnan can be an advisor to CWT while not being the leader of the O.

Kinnan has a great offensive mind, if CWT can learn the system and employ it effectively, this team will be better. With Kinnan on staff advising, it can only help.

Power run got us nowhere. Florida talent is build for the spread.

He wants to call plays... he wants to go down swinging alright. But go down he will.

Sounds about the most likely scenario at this point.

He wasn't good at calling plays for the system he is familiar with, so it's hard to feel confident in this arrangement. I keep saying that part of the problem is how rediculusly long it takes him to get the play in to the QB. He's just not a good play caller, and it puts the offense at a disadvantage.

You guys are unbelievable. Ho many times did I read on this board "a good coach adapts his scheme to fit his players"?

Now that Coach T is finally trying to adapt, you poo poo all over it because he doesn't have experience?

I sincerely hope that Coach T gets this offense rolling, whether it's a spread or a power run. And if he doesn't? The next guy will.

I think adapting to the strengths of the players is the right thing to do, and if we are going to do that, I think it's great. I would just prefer someone else on the staff sending in the plays.

The consensus is that Taggs is not a good coach.

This smacks of desperation, not calculated strategy

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
