And? Looks like a lot of people who think Holtz was better than CWT. That doesn't mean Holtz was a success, it just means CWT is awful.

Remember how terrible the Memphis football program was? Their current coach is 1 year ahead of Taggart in the rebuilding process. His records in years 1 and 2 were terrible, and in year 3(this season), he started 3-3 and then won 6 straight. His players bought in, and "got it." It takes awhile to change the culture.

Let's reevaluate after year 3.

This needs to be emphasized ... Fuentes 3 wins last year were against two "directional" Tennessee teams and us. Taggart may or may not be the one but to give him less that 3 years is totally irrational ... especially since the most of the ones whining about CWT told us that Holtz had completely destroyed USF football.

I agree with our friend Shoop. In any event, I have no issues with those who want Taggart out and who pushed for Holtz to be gone. They just want the rascals out. The problem I have is with the revisionist historians who MAKE IT SOUND LIKE USF football stunk before Skip saved the program and who actually wish he were still here.

That's strange. I've never heard read anyone saying that Skip saved the program. You must have TBP confused with another board.

I think the fans of Skippypoo are the ones confused.

Link? Quote? Anything that even remotely says anyone here has ever said Skip saved the program? I'll lower the bar for you, give me one person who's even said Skip was a success.

Not going to go dig up any links, but when Skip first arrived, he was greeted as a saviour and as one who would take us to the next level.

Oh if only we knew then...

Really? Now we're going all the way back to his presser to try and prove people like Skip?

Come on man, I expect better than this out of you. Mission says people still think of Skip as the savior and you pick day 1 to prove that point?

Wasn't responding to Mission, but to you. You said "ever". Sorry if I didn't catch your meaning that "ever" meant "recently"

Not trying to be a douche (that comes without trying most of the time), but was just responding.

We good.

If you look at my post it was "make is sound like"  not that they literally said it.

This team is painfully boring to watch. If USF was talented enough or could execute with more consistency then winning would offset the total snooze-fest that is our offense.

Watching this team is like watching someone pushing against the sea.

3rd and 10 from ucfs 27 yard line. We have 2 wide receivers on the field. Taggart doesn't have a friggin clue. So much improvement from last year though right? Pack his bags Harlan.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
