Our defense gave up 600 yards(1/2 the game to a backup qb) and 273 yrds rushing.....there is more issues with this team than just the qb

Tags has said it himself that some guys show up when the bright lights go on.  I haven't watched the game yet but just want to remind people of what he, the man, has said himself.  In the past, the team seems to play with more passion when one QB is then there over the other.  Of course, this is from a guy that has a few bourbons and 6 glasses of wine in him.  But, then again, that may not be a bad thing when it comes to watching USF sports.

Steven should have been in a long time ago. Last week's game was a fluke for White based upon his performance up to this point this season. Bench should be given the oppotunity to finish out the season based upon tonight's performance and his performance against Maryland which kept us in the game. He obviously cannot do worse than White has up to this point. At least he shows some grit out there and isn't afraid to run to gain yardage. He has been seen trying to uplift the team and keep their heads in the game. Not like White who goes off by himself when not on the field. CWT needs to give Bench all the playing time during practise so he is ready for Houston. Imagine what he could if he had more time in practise. His stats showed passing completion @ 64%.

Those that back White need their glasses checked. Take away the Tulsa game and look at his overall performance. Even with the Tulsa game we are only averaging 21 points a game which is pathetic. Just a silly question why is Bench always the mop up guy but yet has the better %?

Bench had a 42% completion rate heading into tonite

And for all practical purposes so did White.

And he gets all the first team reps. He is being started years before he is ready, obviously.

I don't know how Holtz did it but he got a great qb transfer from a BCS school who can play. Why can't USF? And if we did, would CWT play them?

When is cwt and his coaches going to show up? I see very little improvement over last year.

I wonder who Coach Reaves thinks is the better QB?  However, if he disagrees with CWT he is probably not at liberty to go against him publicly but I would really really love to have a conversation with him.

White never throws over the middle.  If he can't hit a deep ball on the sideline he dumps it off.  At least Bench attempts to throw over the middle.  Hit McFarland and Davis over the middle tonight.

Per Joey Knight, CWT said, Mike White is still the starter.  Taggart's excuse for him stated, "Mike just wasn't in the game".  ........REALLY!!!!?????    CWT actually said that?  No wonder we can't win games since Wille keeps throwing all his players under the bus injuring them so they cannot play.

Mike is hardly ever in the game. Bench is more productive when he is in. It's like night and day and always has been.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
