BTW, watch the USF game against UCF last year...

Then watch the second half of any USF game this year.... and please show me the progress.

I don't think that's fair to compare. They are different seasons. Meaning that it takes time for teams to gel year to year. Towards the end of any season is (typically) when any team is playing at its best form. It's why many teams play crap teams in the beginning of the year, to tune the team. It's rare to see a team gelling in the first few weeks.

i hope we beat UCF this year...

A portion of an article in today's TBT

"Taggart suggests that whatever is going on between halves begins between his players' ears. He calls it 'mental fatigue.' 'When I say mental fatigue, I mean just when things go bad, don't look for other things bad to happen, don't start looking the other way,' said Taggart, whose team can eclipse its 2013 victory total with a win at Tulsa (1-5, 1-1).

'I understand why our guys do it, because it's been consistent for a period of time around here now, and that's something we've got to learn to get out of and change our attitudes. When we're up in games, let's go finish the ball game rather than hoping that we hang on to win it. And when something goes bad, not look for something else to go bad but play the next play and make something go right for us. ' T hat's easier said than done when barely anyone on the roster has won consistently in Division I. Aside from a few fifth-year seniors and transfers, no Bulls player has experienced a winning season in college. Compound that losing culture with youth and teaching a team how to finish becomes trickier.

USF's two-deep chart for the Tulsa game (not counting specialists) features 20 first- or second-year players."

So all of these 20 first and second year players came from losing high school programs?  None of them know how to win?  Must be the players left from Skip's era infecting the team. Couldn't possibly be he isn't motivating them at halftime or instilling confidence in them.

<sarcasm> Nope, everyone of them is a loser. </sarcasm>

Just so we're on the same page, I took the red part up there as coming from CWT and I see that it didn't after reading the article in the paper. To me, calling what he did say "throwing players under the bus" is a pretty big overstatement.

I think it absolutely falls on Holtz and his players. Not 100%, but enough so that it mattered. We ABSOLUTELY FELL APART while he was here. These are his RESULTS. contextualize all you want but it's on Holtz that we failed and it'll be on Taggart to fix it.

At least Holtz said in his shows it was on him. Taggart can't find blame in himself? SMH

bear--too many like to  attack the truth speakers that post here

usf has never one anything and in the 5 years we stink

that isnt easy to do when you consider the school is surrounded by the games best talent

cwt is making the same mistake many before him have made.he is sticking with a qb that doesnt win

if he doesnt bring in new qbs next year cwt will fail at usf

At least Holtz said in his shows it was on him. Taggart can't find blame in himself? SMH

“Now we need to define what it takes to win. We can’t just talk about it. We’ve got to make a play when a play is needed. We need a good call when a good call is needed. We need a good decision when a good decision is needed. That’s on me. And we’ve got to do these things for the whole game. Learning how to win is not just saying it. We’ve got to define it.’’

Am noticing some of the Taggart haters are Holtz apologists and you need to just get over it. Taggart didn't fire Skip ...
