Besides, those that REALLY thought we were Omaha-bound after a couple games aren't really to be taken seriously. Seems to me that Joe gets off on putting a damper on people's expectations, and loves to remind everyone he called it when it happens.

Lord knows USF sports have given him plenty of chances to be accustomed to doing that.

I also love saying when I was wrong. The baseball team has lost 7 of their last 8 (I believe) hard to be excited boss

 

 

Why would anyone be excited now?  The time period in question where people were excited, we won a few games in a row early on, it was nice to see.  But hey, props to you, you get to be right again.  Enjoy your melancholy.

Weren't the Omaha posts by the normal bubble gum and lollipops posters? Just like ET's 13-0 predictions simply smile, thank them for supporting the bulls and be glad some in the fan base get excited about the program still.

I don't remember any particular instances, but didn't our football coach blame the players this past season?

When CWT does it, it's ok. Like saying he likes the effort.

Coaches around here praise publicly when there's poor performance, they get called soft and puppies/rainbows comments come out ... Lelo calls it like it is about a player and catches crap and is told he should do it in private ...  :facepalm:

Doubt it, he's pretty much this way all the time, but I'm sure he'll take the out you just gave him ...

Ok, you win there, you obviously took those far more seriously than I thought anyone would ...

 

Someone actually bet me a beer that we'd hit regionals this year. I think he was pretty serious.
