Uh-oh.

Baseball: Frustration mounts amid Bulls' swoon

"Everybody has to listen, got to listen to what we're trying to teach," said Prado

"That's why we struggle. The selfishness pops up every once in a while."

"(Lawson's) still young, young guys do some stupid things sometimes," Prado said.

"There should be urgency all over USF. I mean, everybody should want to win," said Prado, in the final year of a contract that was extended in the fall of 2011.

Putting the blame on Lawson? Publicly? Really?

Obviously he's never learned about praising in public and scolding in private.

There are better ways to scold in public.  It helps if the losing is less frequent than the winning, though.

Wouldn't surprise me if the direction of the program is being questioned from within the team.  We certainly know it is being questioned from without.

I don't have a problem with him singling out a player and saying he's young and still learning. But a loss is still a loss.

Very frustrating. It's time to win at USF, period. The Big East era was cute but we got lost and right now, it's back to the basics; it's time to win the games that are on our schedules, period.

I don't remember any particular instances, but didn't our football coach blame the players this past season?

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
