Back on topic .... Been out of town so haven't really followed the new AD affair that much. Saw he was a pretty good fundraiser ... and then realized the beauty of the hire based on where he came from. Even though LA is a lot larger market than TB, TB is closer in makeup to it than the college towns most major programs are in ... and even more importantly, he knows what it's like to go up against the same pro sports we have. Although, the big difference there for him was that UCLA had great history and tradition to work off of. He'll need to find a way to get around that here ..... and another great plus is that he's already used to dealing with an OffCS.

I met him at the USF/FIU baseball game on Wednesday and was impressed with his personable and approachable demeanor.  We spoke for about 5 minutes and he really seemed to be interested in how we felt as donors and said that he was very excited about the programs' potential.
