That's BS. Coach Heath is a class act and should have been told by his boss. And since Harlan does not start until April that should have been Doug. Takes for what? I'd like to know what exactly Doug is doing now to earn the EXACT SAME BASE PAY as when he was the AD!!! Did he really do that little that it's a wash? Is Judy just letting him go fishing this last year+ and shuffling donor dollars his way cause he's a nice guy? What's he doing to earn his paycheck? Umm.... Fulfilling the legal terms of his contract? And.....you weren't finished, right? How, again?

Fulfilling the legal terms of his contract?USF is flush with cashWoolard and USF have a contract. The terms need to be fulfilled, regardless whether or not USF is, "flush with cash". I think some people on here expected DW to forfeit his pay since he was fired, just like every professional athlete who's ever been released says "no thank you" when the team tries to pay them. Woolard was relieved of his AD duties, but "reassigned" to an unspecified role within the University. He was not fired. But, the FRS will take the average of the last 5 years salary when they either retire or enter DROP. Also factored into the pension is a multiplier dictated by years of service. It could be that an extra year moves him to the next multiplier. Depending on when he got his last raise in base salary, it can also increase the average salary the multiplier is applied against.
