(And here I was thinking that I couldn't hate Skip Holtz any more than I did last December...)

Sooooo happy for BJ. This is awesome! He's acting like a pro and playing like a pro...representing USF very well in the NFL.

LaTech AD should fire skip this morning. You had an NFL caliber quarterback and your record was what?

What does that say about Rex Ryan and Belicheck not being about to find a way to use arguably 'the best player in college football history'?

those have nothing at all to do with each other.

skip had possibly the #2QB on a super bowl runner-up. he also had two senior corners that were either drafted or brought into an NFL camp and he had one of the worst pass defenses in college on a 3-9 team.

there is a reason why we pay him as much NOT to coach here as LaTech pays him to  coach there.

I have always thought BJ was a good QB under a bad coach, can't wait to see him playing some real NFL games.

Those are not anywhere near the same situation. Tebow's case is he succeeded at the college level but is failing at the pro level. That happens to tons of guys who move up levels, high school to college and college to pros.

BJ's situation is a guy who had the skill to play at the pro level but did not show it at the college level. That screams coaching.

Good news: BJ is in.

Bad news: Announcer called us Southern Florida

Nooooooooooooo

I was upset at first but what he said was that BJ was from southern Florida but only referred to his school as USF after that. Might have been an error or he could be talking about where he grew up. not sure.

Failry sure he is from the Tallahassee area, I thought when we played them in Doake the news was talking about how he felt shunned by FSU for never recruiting him

He said Southern Florida and then started calling us USF, which made me think... University of San Fransisco???  Funny.

Amazing how good BJ is with some coaching isn't it?

This is making me a little optimistic.  Now that I have confirmed how terrible Holtz is in areas other than clock management and inspiring to win rather than compete, maybe we can improve some this year with a simplified/tougher mentality.  Maybe we have some talent that can be brought out with some coaching?

yes BJ is from Tallahassee so the announcer meant USF when he said Southern Florida.  Oh well...no one really cares but USF fans.
