Too bad our defense was absolute garbage the last 2 years.  The offense was legitimate last year before Daniels went down.  We could have been a great team.

Really? A GREAT team?

Psyched for BJ, you know the kid is trying hard. His physical game has never been an issue--always was the mental stuff that hurt him. With the right mentors, he could break out and become a strong NFL player!

Three 1 score losses, Two 2 score losses. Maybe not a great team, but a good team with 7 or 8 wins. The last 3 losses were without BJ so if he was in and they were wins, yeah that would be a great team with double digit wins for the first time in USF history.

Our O with Skip and Daniels was always a joke...I always liked the creative plays we used with CL.

Yeah, creative offense under CL.  "BJ you take the snap, the WRs will run around whereever they fee like, then you either find one to throw to or run for your life.  This way you don't actually have to know what play we are calling, since we don't have any."

Ah, the good ol' days.

I love BJ and I hope he learns to be a real QB with coaching that he never got in his years at USF.

Hahaha awesome! I think that's what made it most entertaining, NO ONE knew what was going to happen.

I agree with you right up until we faced another BE school that actually had a creative gameplan against us, like Pitt or Rutgers, and we got creamed.  Those parts weren't so entertaining and fun.

If, by creative, you mean "run the ball up the middle against our D"

LOL ... Well, talking more about offense here, but those teams would run all kinds of different blitzes and confuse the hell out of our OL, and BJ couldn't make magic every time. Case in point; the 31-0 blowout, I think BJ took about a 30 yard sack in that game. Edited by GaUSFBull

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
