From an article:

USF has been busy this week, landing immediate help at defensive tackle with two transfer portal commitments from Wake Forest transfer James Ash and Temple transfer Nick Bags. Ash is originally from Florida and was ranked as an 86 coming out of high school in 2020 class. He will get a grade of 84 in the transfer portal rankings. Bags played in six games in 2021 and battled turf toe but had two starts. He will receive a grade of 83 in the portal.

I'm close to 6 even. Scott is a bit taller than me so 6'3 sounds about right.

Anyone know if either is an early enrollee? Would assume whoever comes in 3rd would may RS. But with the portal, no need to try a RS a guy . . . burn that year if it helps the team. A player can play 4 games and still RS.

If they are smart they will both enroll early and get started in spring camp. If both of them have great camps, then CJS might not be as gung ho to get a grad transfer QB which I'm sure they would prefer. If one redshirts and the other doesn't then they can all play and start at least 1-2 years before its all said and done.

Doesn't being smart and enrolling early kind of go hand in hand?

But enrolling early is not a decision to make in the fall.

It's tough to get a transfer that wants to be a #2 QB

What really sucks and is perplexing is the way CJS begged Fortin to come here and praised his spring play only to give him the hook. And now this… but remember our coaches said we hade three QBs that could win.

And I think we have 3 QB's that can win in 2022 . . . hopefully just need 1 and get more wins than losses.
