This is really the first thing that popped into my head when the Big12 poach was announced (right after the anger). With the AAC watered down, maybe we can finally win this thing? It would be really, really nice to win a conference title, any conference title. The program needs that.

Yep.  Those idiots to the east have 6 of them (or 5.5 if you give them 1/2 a championship for 2014) since 2007.  I just looked it up.  Even the year we schooled them 64-12, they won their "crappy" conference that year.  All 6 of them more recently than when we were ranked #2 in the nation (our biggest feat).  I know it helps that they built a stadium and all that, but all the conference championships certainly did not hurt them in getting the invite. 

This conference is bad, and we are the doormat right now.  That is what we need to address.  Freakin beat somebody.  Get that elusive conference championship...get it again.  Maybe we can then earn the right to be able to say we don't belong and are ready to move up.

I would not be shocked if MWC and Sun Belt tried to hold tight, with Sun Belt  poaching CUSA.

If that scenario happens, we are going back to CUSA baby.
