I made it perfectly clear 4 posts ago what I was basing mine on when assessing the conferences. You could have ended this at that point in time ......... which had as much of a chance of happening as you consciously deciding to stop breathing.

Well I’m not exactly sure why you felt the need to pose a completely worthless and ridiculous metric to me when comparing values but if you did I apologize for dismissing it and immediately discussing things that actually matter to program and conference values, clearly that’s my fault.

I know it is sometime down the road (weeks? Months? Years?), but our position in the expansion situation does not look too great. I feel like we are a bubble team, hoping to get invited to the big dance.

We don’t offer much except academics and tv market, and another school has more eyes than we do in our own market.

I guess it’s a good thing that the new B12 will probably get torn apart in the future.

It is what the actual sports journalists do whether you want to recognize it or not ....

Can you give me an example of an actual sports journalist that would be discussing us or our position in expansion?

Just out of curiosity what exactly is objectively worse for us going into this expansion over the Big East expansion and how many people in the know had us as stone cold locks going into our selection?

I paint with a broad brush, I am sure there are actual pockets of journalists in sports but they are few and far between. I know for a fact that people on our beat at least used to fish for stories on here and that the Times made the argument that since TSA released attendance that was news and since others they covered more didn’t have them released that was too hard to get. For $35k a year and some free snacks at the game you can’t really expect you are going to get the best, brightest and most trying and you certainly can’t expect people to actually respect them enough to have a conversation with them outside of a large group setting where all the information is public knowledge.

Too bad it’s paint by numbers 😂😂

Has it really been three hours?  Were you both on lunch at the same time?

Actually none of these historical conference comparisons  between you and I here matter to our program, which is why this was the perfect place for them.

I'm trying to self impose a limit of no more than one tangential conversation with you per week and the battle of the conferences has fulfilled that ....
