People are bringing up Boise State and Air Force as the teams in the MW along with maybe BYU joining the American to create a Power 4. I would be 100% in on that.

If the latter, then add Boise, Air Force and Army for a 14 team "truly American" conference.

All of these teams were ones most thought could have helped keep the American in the so called power group. It has been a pipe dream to think they would give up their situations to risk falling into FBS purgatory. If concerns about a virus were to ultimately get these teams onboard and the AAC back in the conversation, I will stop doubting that anything is possible in realignment. . That will give the AAC all of the leverage to (1) bring in the schools they want on their own terms and (2) kill their closest G5 competitor. Once we raid the MWC, the American will be closer to the rest of the P5 than they will be the rest of the G5. That's how you make P6 more than just a sideline marker. While Aresco has been passive in killing the MWC, it looks like this opportunity, which I have been calling for, may drop into his lap. As stated previously, this is what a 16-team American would work (although I would prefer a 14-team version without Tulane and Tulsa - but that would require the other 14 members bolt to form their own new conference, similar to what the Great Midwest did to Dayton in the 90's to join C-USA, to avoid litigation). This would give the AAC programming from noon to midnight, all but guarantee them the NY6 bowl invite, and access to a much broader set of bowl games against P5 conference. Football Scheduling: Two (2), eight team divisions 9 conference games - 7 conference games against intra-division opponents; 2 conference games against other division Championship game played between division winners ate home of team with best conference record Basketball Scheduling: One division 18 conference games - one against each conference member and 3 against a regionally located opponents I hope that to be true Edited August 16, 2020 by Outlaw

I'm not for MWC expansion because if it were worth that much, ESPN would have already made it happen.
