Yep remember going to the college visit with my oldest and it was wide open, she loved it but liked Texas A&M more and went there for in state tuition which was more expensive then UF (Fl prepaid) even with 3 flights a year. Glad she is only 3 hrs away and love the vibe in college station but UF is a very good school  and great atmosphere as well.

TAMU is a great school. I have an MSME from there. There is nothing like the 12th man spirit and a midnight pep rally of 20-30,000 people.

When the football team was good we could get over 50k to RayJay.

Good and in a major conference .... 2016/2017 we averaged around 35K. Your 40K will be just fine.

CSU had 32k fans at their week 1 game in their 40k stadium and it looked pretty full and respectable on TV.

Here's us vs BYU with 35k fans a couple years ago and the stadium looked dead. Hard for the players to feel like they have a home field advantage or get as pumped up as they would if that crowd filled a stadium. The culture of the football program seriously needs a 40/45k stadium so home games stop looking like this. Cincinnati averages the same attendance we do and people talk about them as having one of the better home field advantages in football

This has been pointed out many times on this board by ... cough, cough ... me, but often to no avail for the naysayers.  Not to mention the huge number of people that stand in the end zone areas at our games
