Do we sell out Ray Jay with mainly Bulls fans before getting an OCS?

Here is the real question. How much more will our season tickets be after they decrease the capacity down to 40-45k seats?

It may change to donation required, not so much ticket price.

🏗Jacksonville State University just approved an $80 million addition to their football stadium🏈

attach dorms so we can use state funds...kidding (sort of)

When Cincy did their upgrade they attached classrooms in order to tap state funding. Nothing wrong at all with that strategy.

A consistent product and a ranked opponent would sell out the stadium.

...

That brings in the casual fan ... occasionally. It was too far back that USC Gamecocks went winless and sold out every game. UF in the 70's and 80's were average and sold out. I'm sure there are many cases. USF is still transitioning to a football school. Momentum was lost with Leavitt.

Believe Cincy's field is the 2nd oldest stadium in the U.S.

Correct but they spent $86 mil on an upgrade and it looks tremendous.

Definitely, not knocking it. Love their stadium ... it's open all the time that students can play or chill out and study, eat, etc. Students walk across the field just to get to class.

I've seen people say the stadium isn't a problem because we could fill out Ray Jay in the Big East. Personally I don't see us doing that again until we're in a power conference, and I don't see a power conference adding us until we have an OCS

We had over 60K against Cincinnati back in the day.  I think that shows the potential.

My son and I stopped at a couple of schools up north a couple of summers ago and they were like this.   Bucknell was one.  Stadium was wide open for people to enjoy

63,976 in 2009 ...

And we had over 49,000 for Game One in 1997, was hoping that showed potential.

Next game was under 34,000, then just over 30,000 . . . averaged just over 33,000 for Year One.

1998 we averaged 27,000

1999 we averaged 25,000

2019 we averaged 32,000
