Because in the real world outside of education you don’t get to fail for a solid two years before anyone has any expectations of you.

Well this is not the real world, it’s college athletics and no division 1 football program would do what you are advocating…you sound ridiculous.

Aside from QB a lot Of their starters were pulled when it was 42-13

There isnt a big drop off between the UF first string and second stringers....they have good depth.

They aren't as good as last years UF team...they are likely a 7 or 8 win team if Richardson stays healthy.

We for sure look much better with a freshmen qb than with Fortin at the helm, that I can say.

I think this board is so used to being ****** we can’t wrap our mind about how badly UF pulled the plug in that second half.

The biggest evidence of that came from our own coach when he punted on the 50 at 4th and 8 down 3 scores. Also Mullen taking Richardson out to get Jones goal line reps that led to no score. (I did find the boos funny)

I still am not convinced we win more than 3 this year. This team has a potential star in McClain. We need a lot of help on both lines. Skill positions looked good too.

Yea I kinda saw the same thing. UF backed it down in the second half.

Bama is gonna bend over UF next week.

You do realize that you're talking to someone who started ******** about CJS from basically the moment he was hired because he was going to stay and coach in the national championship game ....

Oh I know, he is the ultimate attention seeker…it’s like playing with a puppy…just having some fun.

UF was still throwing and throwing deep for most of the 2nd half. They definitely did not let up. Including going on 4th on one.

Just wish Scott had taken a little more chances on 4th downs when we had momentum.

Thoughts?

Yea especially since Mullen was going for it. When a coach punts on 4 and 3 down 20+ late in a game it proves they value moral victories...who cares if you fail at that point? UF had a 240 lb QB that easily ran 40+ on us...give him back the ball? Why?

The team is improving!  Let's see how the next game goes.  Lock in the QB position and let's roll!

I agree with all the positive sentiments. Some of my concerns are the following:

Our D backs were in position but never turned to make a play on the ball. We got burned several times, I’ll admit, but other times we were right there and an outstretched arm might have done some good. Also, we don’t have any players that strike fear in the opponent. We sometimes wrap up and hold on for dear life.

Our receivers are fast but they forget to catch. Great athletes but rarely high point the ball or come back to the qb.

Overall though, I don’t feel terrible about this one.
