Any insights into what the delay in announcing a formal ground breaking date?

?? Ground Breaking Date ??  If we knew that it would ruin this entire 17 page's of Conjecture, Speculation, Guesstimates along with the incessant bitchn, moanin and general carrying-on...Basically, knowing the date would be the beginning of the end for a TBP topic.

FYI dont ever ask about Conference Realignment on here...👍

The ground breaking shovel feasibility studies aren’t complete.  After the best shovel type is determined, there will be a study to determine the best color gold paint to use, and then a study to determine the most durable paint.  After those studies are complete, studies will be done to determine the best source to purchase the shovels, and paint from.  Once they are delivered, a committee will be formed to determine the best date to hold the ground breaking ceremony.  A study will then be done to determine the need to wear masks during the ceremony, and wether the donors will be permitted to attend......

I just hope that no funds have been mismanaged. I mean, this has been an excruciatingly long process.

I guess some Universities  don’t care about the optics of capital improvements to their sports program during a pandemic.

Construction is underway on UF's new football facility after completing Florida Ballpark.

That step from P5 to P6 seems much larger than the single digit would indicate

This isn’t about money.  Of course, it’s apples and oranges between USF and UF.  My point was some feel they’re not doing it because of the optics of spending millions on sports while Universities are dealing with budget shortfalls.  Apparently they don’t feel that way in Gainesville.

It’s always about money, people are trying to come up with explanations to reason why we never have it but it’s really quite simple in that the P6 is a fiscally tumultuous place to find yourself, there is no such thing as a middle class in college football anymore and because of that we always have more things to spend money on than we have money coming in.
