At $25 a pop we need 1.6M people to donate.

Does USF even know 1.6M people?

Alumni?

USF knows them. They don’t know USF.

Thought it was about 400k alums but could be wrong. Thought there were 180k in a 6 county area or something like that. Maybe someone has the right numbers.

My hope is that we continue working towards solidifying the connection between USF and those alumni. That relationship needs constant work.

The Tampa Bay area has 3.1M people. With everything USF has provided the community, Hillsborough County should add to the sales tax, or tax the rich, to help fund budget shortfalls for USF - like the College of Education and have a carve out for an IPF.

Don’t we already tax our students to the tune of $15-$20 million a year, anyway? Clearly, most students have zero interest in sports, but are forced to pay to support them through tacked on fees. Is the suggestion now to start tapping into the general public? Because right now, we burn through the cost of an IPF every other year in just fees to cover our current mess of a department. Good luck convincing people the best to way to solve our mess is by throwing more money at it.
