Don’t we already tax our students to the tune of $15-$20 million a year, anyway? Clearly, most students have zero interest in sports, but are forced to pay to support them through tacked on fees. Is the suggestion now to start tapping into the general public? Because right now, we burn through the cost of an IPF every other year in just fees to cover our current mess of a department. Good luck convincing people the best to way to solve our mess is by throwing more money at it.

It’s the same reason I always make sure to pay extra tax dollars

Intercollegiate Athletics shouldn’t be supported by student fees.  Those fees should be against state law.

The Tampa Bay area has 3.1M people. With everything USF has provided the community, Hillsborough County should add to the sales tax, or tax the rich, to help fund budget shortfalls for USF - like the College of Education and have a carve out for an IPF.

Serious question, what has VPMK done that makes anyone think he is doing a good job? It seems that from top to bottom every single thing he is tasked with is below expectations is it simply because he is nice and accessible and hired nice and accessible people because nothing he has demonstrated here or previously seems to indicate a righting of the ship with happen under his guidance.

Hillsborough already has the highest sales tax in all the land and the idea of taxing the rich has never worked.

I am serious I’ve never understood how anyone saw this as a home run hire and every passing day I find it more perplexing. If we needed a party planner for hosting a playoff of the biggest names in college football, he would be the natural hire but to rescue a program from the brink of collapse? He seems to only keep digging us further, what am I missing that others seem to see from his results?

The good thing about herpes is you can’t get it twice, so that’s one less thing you have to worry about, which is nice.

He's hired a coordinator from one of the premier football programs in the country, has an elite women's basketball program, has the best non-conference home schedule of any G5 school, and APR scores at an all-time high. Men's basketball is turning a corner and we just need to give Scott time to recruit and get in his guys. If we can live through Holtz and Antigua then we can live through this.
