Of course we are generate $3.6M more than them through licensing fees and $1.6M more from services and/or monies provided by the university. What concerns me the most is they generate the second most revenue behind UConn among non-P5 schools. When the next round of realignment comes in 2025, UCF is gone. By that logic Uconn would be gone too. Edited January 20, 2020 by Gismo

It’s not one that can be closed quickly by good hires like a new coach.

That’s not an arguable point.

However I don't think there will be a next round of alignment. ESPN owns all the major teams' tv rights now anyways, and I doubt they'd want to pay more for a conference just because a school moved from conference A to conference B. And if ESPN doesn't offer substantially more to the expanding conference, the existing schools won't want a pay cut just to get a new member. (IE see the AAC's strategy when UConn left... leaving the spot open) there will be a next round of expansion if we dont make it we will be in fiu/fau territory

They don’t want their program associated with the west coast where they will have less tv viewers. Will PAC allow the TU Network to exist? Unlikely and that is a deal breaker. Also, none of the Big12 teams will walk away from a conference that has the easiest track to the playoffs.
