Ego or intelligence?

From the guys I've been around, it all stems from ego. Their ego keeps them from learning new systems/philosophies that can help their program.

Results determine which it was, there is nothing intelligent to holding onto a failing system on your way out the door.

My issue is not so much what the system is as much as it is being dogmatic in your adherence to it. If you think that it is more important to stick to your scheme no matter who is on your roster than it is to put up a more success plan for the players you actually have on your roster, that's an insane position to me and I do not understand why it is so pervasive in football.

It works just ask KB; it works towards getting yourself fired. When we abandoning his scheme and only ran the ball we won.

Exactly, even with  a foot in the grave KB was still doubling down on his system. At least he still has his scruples which is way better than a job.

You do know that Kerwin Bell's first recruiting class would've been this year, right? He was also doing a really good job recruiting...

There's a good possibility that CKB will get another HC job or an OC. The guys no slouch he likes o win. I think we will hear of him taking a job somewhere and building it into a winner. Said it before, he walked into a bad/failing situation when he came to usf. I'm sure he's just happy as hell he took the job. Be interesting to see....

My response was tongue in cheek about keeping the Grad Assts.

Sorry...I *missed* the sarcasm font : )

Am I even allowed to apologize for a misunderstanding on this board?

Sure. And since you are new, most of my posts are attempts at humor, rumor or sarcasm.  Most guys on here know that now and I stopped using the </sarcasm>
