I was firmly in the Leavitt camp, but this hire is starting to feel pretty good to me. 

I watched a couple YouTube videos on Coach Scott today. He seems like a solid guy and is a “lifer”. Coaches kid, went on recruiting trips with his father when he was 7 years old. Spent a lot of time around FSU and St. Bobby in the Charlie Ward years.

He has been with Dabo every step of the way. I’ve always liked Dabo, seems like an awesome guy and and awesome Coach. CJS is a WR guru and by all accounts a great recruiter. He has a helluva pedigree...I am supporting him 100%. It “feels” like it was the best choice for the program right now (if it couldn’t be Leavitt).

I'm not sure why Scott would run the offense (if by 'run' you mean call the plays). Scott was never a playcaller at Clemson, it would be odd for him to take on that responsibility with all the other HC duties. Scott will have a heavy hand in it to be sure, but I'm not expecting him to start calling plays.

This isn't helping me decide to renew my season tickets. Making me think I need to go ahead and not do it for next year. That's 6 more seats available for the KB fans

I feel like we’re missing a big recruiting opp

So here is my view on it. Clemson wont start bowl prep till next week and a recruiting dead peroid goes from 12/17 to 1/10. So he couldnt recruit anyways. Much better for espn to say "and there is USF coach Jeff scott" and talking about the move thru the CFP then him just sit here. Also better for the student athletes.
