Scott was never a playcaller at Clemson, it would be odd for him to take on that responsibility with all the other HC duties. Scott will have a heavy hand in it to be sure, but I'm not expecting him to start calling plays. Taggart called plays. so did frost. many young HCs run one side or the other themselves. It's the old guys that think they should sit back and delegate.

Clemson wont start bowl prep till next week and a recruiting dead peroid goes from 12/17 to 1/10. So he couldnt recruit anyways. Much better for espn to say "and there is USF coach Jeff scott" and talking about the move thru the CFP then him just sit here. Also better for the student athletes. Good point. Welcome to the board! Conference room at the USF Athletics office (Taggart), MSC Amphitheater (Skip) or the MSC Ballroom (Strong)?

I would rather he bring in Scott from UF, or a position coach he trusts at Clemson as his figure head OC then. I don't want Bell's thought process anywhere near offensive game planning

He is in for a rude awakening. Hope he has a plan and wins a lot of games though. How did that go for Willie at FSU? His access to top tier recruits meant nothing. We need a coach who can develop the talent he is given. Scott fits that profile.

I meant more like overall contributions, weighted wins or getting us to a NY6 game. For every 10 win AAC season you give me I can give you an overall losing record, an FCS loss, a 2-10 season and a host of other embarrassing failures.

Maybe a few in critical situations, but I believe the HC should delegate.
