Yeah this is the logic I'm feeling as well.  I think for these exact reasons, CJL as anything but an HC is a total pipe dream.

Agreed, He would be a terrible rehire, he would never be able to rekindle the energy and excitement, therefore never landing a magical class that hid all of his coaching and player development deficiencies. I am forever thankful for him bringing us out of the doldrums but he would not be able to pull a second rabbit out of the same hat.  As stated many times you can’t go home again.

No to Taggart. I just saw an unmotivated multi millionaire Coach come in here and further milk this program. Why would I do it twice? 

Someone hungry like Taggart from WKU....Fine. 

A retread Taggart downgrading from his dream job to be his fall back plan? No thanks.

But since we are here. Graham's third string QB looked more game ready the play he stepped in under fire than any of Bell's at any point.
