Heard JP Peterson trying to pimp Rich Bassacia to USF on the drive home today.

Said if USF didn’t get into the Big 12 in the next 5 years we might as well shut down football.

They've both had success as HC's.  But I never said anything about Lane Kiffin and I'm not clamoring for anyone.  I trust MK to do his job in the hire, just like I trusted him to do his job in the firing of ccs.   I just can't imagine how someone would think Shaun King is a better option than proven HC's.

“Proven” HCs are over-rated. Just ask......well just ask USF.
 

Skippy was a “proven” head coach when USF hired him. Charlie Strong was a “proven” head coach when Texas hired him...he was more “proven” when USF hired him.....I’m even willing to bet that FSU considered Taggart was a “proven” head coach when they hired him. How about Rich Rod’s failures after “proving” himself as a HC?

I could probably come up with 100 more examples, but I won’t.

Ya probably could come up with 1000s since most new HC hires are "proven" HC's.  Should we start naming the position coaches to HC failures?   Add in the old he's good, loyal guy and you got yourself some doozies.   (I know it's NFL, but the old Raheem Morris move by the Bucs still stings ....) . I'll still take my shot with CWT or Lane over Shaun King any day.   If MK agrees with you, then I'll hope like hell your both right, but I'm not buying it.
