We need to aim higher than some of these domes being thrown about. Its like this group wants comfort food because they are depressed.

Not sure tons is the right word.  If we were paying tons it would be cheaper to build an OCS.  As for actual attendance, in USF's case it really doesn't matter much.  It is the number of season tickets sold that matters since we don't get concession and parking money.  Of course we do get hurt on walk up ticket sales.

It's been well documented that stadiums are money pits. That's why you don't see team owners building them but forcing municipalities to do so. We have it pretty good financially at Ray Jay. I hate the giveaway deal city council gave the Glazers but we're doing better than paying debt service on a building that gets used 7 times a year.

There's an opportunity cost though that you can't put a number on easily.  If our stadium was on campus, you'd likely have more students say 'eh why not' and walk on over when it takes just a few minutes to see a game vs the hassle of getting to Ray Jay.

The bigger the net, the more fish you can catch.  So if you convert some of those, let's call them causal fans, into people who want to go every game, you'll have an increased pipeline of season ticket holders down the road once they graduate.  Plus you get more engaged alumni who see their school (that otherwise wouldn't) and they in turn may give back to the school more if they have that stronger connection.

Our 15K "actual attendance" is still better than the vast majority of g5 schools distributed.  Just saying

CCS is trying to get our fan base to fit into our OCS. Once he shrinks the numbers enough we can play at Corbett. Boom problem solved

Our attendance would be horrible if we were a top P5 program.
But we aren't. Our numbers are very good for the G5 and the AAC.
