Not happening but , bring back CJL with a young offensive coordinator like Joe Brady.

I would look to this list of OC to the next HC.

Steve Sarkisian

Derek Dooley

Ryan Day

David Yost

 Tony Elliott

Andy Avalos

Graham Harrel

Andy Ludwig

If Strong gets FIRED next season (only way I see the HC position available), then NEXT season is a failure.  Which would mean the offense is most likely a failure also. Why would you want to promote someone that has had a failing offense for 2 straight seasons with us?

KB made our offense worse, are you trying to go 0-12? We can only lose 4 more games next year and go 0-12. The downfall trajectory will continue as follows 11, 10, 7, 4, and down to 0!

I don't know enough about available coaches so here's my wish list of traits:

-No one on the current staff (Shaun King needs to try out a position like OC before head coach, and Bell has shown nothing at this level to inspire confidence)

-No one who runs a pro style offense or has any desire to try it

-Can evaluate talent and put kids in the right position

-Has ties to a fertile recruiting ground and can bring in a good QB

-Personality/behavior will not embarass us

-Has good game day processes (knows when to go for two, use timeouts, etc)

-Offensive minded

-Can bring excitement back and win

-Last named isn't Schiano, Holtz or Strong

I’ll add one.

Attention to detail and someone that demands high level of accountability. We don’t need a figure head or care taker.  We need a coach that is involved in all aspects of the program.  I think there is a lot that Chuckles delegated and it’s come back to bite him.

Just get someone who can recruit, they don't even have to be a good coach.

As proven by Taggart, all you need to succeed in the AAC is to out recruit your opponents.

Strong WAS supposed to be a good recruiter but his signed classes and talent on the field show otherwise.

JUST GET SOMEONE KIDS THINK IS COOL.

And please, no rethreads.

I agree Ryan Day would make a great HC. apparently so did Ohio State....

It'd be cool to give Larry Scott a shot.

He'd definitely stay for the long haul and would be an awesome recruiter.

not sure why people care so much about loyalty. we are a stepping stone job. embrace it.

nobody would be here for the long haul if a top program comes calling.

We are about to be 4 and 15 over our last 19.

We need someone who will come in and work their ass off and get us back to 9, 10, and 11 win seasons.  If he is so awesome that a team wants to hire him away so be it.

I like victories and our coach being hired away over losing and being FIRED away.

I am pretty sure he was joking.

Although, seriously, I imagine that is probably what Kelly was hoping would happen when KB was signed up in January. Let CCS coach out his contract and then elevate KB in 2022.

Based on comments Kelly made back in December 2018, Kelly was thinking CCS had success at Louisville and  here in 2017.

It was mentioned, why couldn't CCS bring in some high flying offense and then have success here? They then bring in the HC of the top offense in Division II.

I think a lot of us realized last season what CCS really was but Kelly didn't see it.

But to be fair, most of us didn't see it right away when CCS was hired either. I knew back in 2016, CCS was a bad game day coach but I assumed he could still recruit and just out-talent people. But in hindsight, at UL his staff was cheating and at UT he had a huge program advantage over his peers. We don't have either here at USF.

This is KB's first season, although I personally didn't think the offense could get worse than last season. Just proves that I was wrong again.
