It's funny how everything falls on the staff and none on inferior talent for depth purposes. If you couldn't see players like Sawtelle, Roberts, Attebury, Norman and Sanders are not G5 talent as starters then you are not good at scouting.

I am hoping at least Hopple gets a shot next week. If Waller is better on Offense then stick him at right guard. He looked like an accountant playing nose. Didn't look like he wanted to dominate.

Mims is a backup talent wise and a hair better than Sawtelle. Boyles and Greer have been unimpressive. I would like to see Bellamy play more. Smoke Davis needs more PT along with Burnett.

Then Charlie and BJM are horrible at scouting.

At the end of the day, it all comes home to roost on the head coach. He should be seeing and fixing the deficiencies in the program.

I agree but this was more a reaction to Charlie Strong's biggest apologist and neither of them are near as bad as he makes them out to be.

If McCloud and KB produce I expect Strong will be what a Dell rep called "Not good enough to keep, not bad enough to fire." and we'll be stuck with uninspiring mediocrity with occasional above average play. His maddening record here makes him look so much better than he has coached.

Agreed.  This team will NEVER win a conference championship with Charlie Strong as head coach.

John, I think he's referring the executive wing and BOT at the university level not the athletics level.

Pretty much. The IPF\investments in the program should have happened 10 years ago. Not talking about a guy thats been on the job less than 1 year.

There was a much larger need for the other sports being upgraded 10 years ago ..... but the IPF should have been put upfront as soon as those were completed.
