Taggart can't win with elite players and left a footprint of garbage recruits here.

Not defending CCS because he should have gotten rid of 25 players instead of 11. If he survives this season get rid of 12 more and go to the portal and get some players on both lines. Get some from P5 and none from 1AA.

you realize 8 of the 11 he got rid of were players Strong brought in, right? Including the 2 DL from Duke.

Strong is awful. Taggart built arguably our best team ever

I think Taggart creates a winning culture, just doesn't win games.  He's not a great football coach.  He's a great hype machine and can use that to recruit.  He'd be a great assistant for someone one day.

Taggart had the best season record wise in our history. First ever double digit wins. all at the ripe old age of 40

BTW nothing in college football is more important than recruiting

Well he allowed the Duke players to come in. No portal at that time.

Good chance they’re both fired at the end of the season

CCS had no where to hide this season this is his team and as others have said he's seen significant attrition and cancers that he recruited in. You can make all the excuses you want but this is CCS's team it's his 3rd year here. Hopefully the rights the ship but he owns this season completely. Also before you move on Bell to protect CCS, that's his hire, he owns it.

I would love to hear that argument? And if it did in fact happen (spoiler alert it didn’t) how long did it last? A day? Let’s pretend for one second he had the best team we have ever had for an entire season he is also on the hook for our most losing season and our only loss to an FCS team in history. Good coaches don’t have to dream of having a few years of winning just to be able to sniff .500.

what are you talking about? portal ??portal is nothing more than a database of kids wanting to transfer

he brought in 2 DL transfers from Duke who were supposed to shore up our line. He dismissed them as bad apples. Fact is 8 of the 11 players he dismissed were kids he brought in.
