I would not say anyone on this board is the problem...indeed it can be argued “we are the straw that stirs the drink” (yes, Reggie Jackson quote).

Admitting you were wrong is a blatant violation of the PUC code, just wanted to point that out.

Hahahaha I saw that coming but would like to make you aware that reversing your opinions without acknowledging the reversal is also part of the code.

Yes it is however the code demands 100% compliance, adhering to bits and pieces and ignoring other parts will always result in failure.  I have been chastised for not following the code on a consistent basis and feel the author of the code should not receive a free pass on this epic transgression.  A dark day, would expect more from our most distinguished member, disappointing.

You were doing fine up to the last sentence .... unless that was an auto correct from “diminished”.

There are many ways one can distinguish themselves.

We can poke fun however we know Puc 86 is the cream of this very ordinary crop, he sets the bar with his behavior (albeit low) and we all do what we can to clear it.  Hated to have to correct what many of us call a mentor, but it important we hold ourselves to a higher standard for the good of the board.

There is "********" about attendance and then there is a constructive conversation as to why attendance is where it is and what the program could possibly do to try and improve upon it. I don't think anyone on here is really railing on our attendance, but we would all be lying to ourselves if we didn't acknowledge room for improvement. Again, going into last season we had won 28 out of 34 games, before the wheels came off, we were at 35 out of 41. The problem clearly isn't W/Ls, it is the quality of the opponent and apathy. Kelly is taking us back in the right direction. We may never draw at the numbers we were drawing in the Big East days again, but hopefully we can get to the point where we are filling up at least 75 to 80% of the lower bowl for every game.

College football attendance is at its lowest point in 22 years

And 98.5% of those teams didn’t take giant  steps backwards in their conference affiliation during that decade.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
