No doubt her gets the waiver with his sister getting murdered his mom dying as well as having a kid here in Tampa.   This is a huge pick up.   Coaches told me LaPointe is going to be a beast at safety, now with two possible future NFL corners, this could be the best secondary we have  had since Allen , Jenkins and the rest.  These three should change their numbers to 8-1-3. I think we get another 813 transfer to the secondary, but  he wont star. Along with the Florida (via JUCO transfer :) and ND transfer at safety.  If we get pressure on Whisky's young QB he is going to throw a number of picks.      Hopefully our new 250 pound LB lives up to his potential

This one should pan out. It’s not like he didn’t play there. Looking better with each one of these add on’s. Coach doing coach things again.

peaked at his twitter , looks like the Kelvin Clemmons is not far behind.   I'm starting to get a good feeling that Charlie has his heart in this job finally and he will get a lot of locals to stay home.  Clemmons is talking about if all the 813 kids stayed home how good USF would be.

But likely realizes the error of his ways. Who would you trust to tell you about the life-altering effects of heroin addiction, someone who never used or an addict?

Neat. We weren't in his plans out of HS...we weren't in his plans out of JuCo...now he's third string at Minnesota and wants to come to USF because, "813!"

I hope he helps us win a lot of games and I welcome him to the USF family, but I don't believe for a minute he's here because he wants to, "Make the crib great again."

The lesson is staying home rather than seeking the limelight somewhere else. The more guys like him who can warn others that things outside the Bay aren't always what they seem to be, the better. Sure, it would be great if a lot of the homegrown talent stayed put, but that isn't always going to be the case. I wouldn't say that we completely were out of his plans. He did visit here and, by all accounts, was seriously considering USF at the time.

Agree this is a pretty solid transfer.

Now if Strong could get a few more for the lines it be great.

I read he went to Minnesota to follow a coach who left the program after he got there.

That's a lesson in commiting to a program, not a coach. The program never leaves. If that's his only reason, he doesnt deserve a waiver.

You guys are mixing up Clemmons & Sails. Sails started at UNC and is transferring to be closer to home due to tragic family circumstances.

Clemmons isn’t committed to USF, and is all over the board on his allegiance. He was all over UK and USF throughout the process, and committed to Minnesota out of no where. Now within a couple of months, he’s transferring again.

Two completely different dudes, with different circumstances.
