On the subject of our QBs, what’s up with Battle and McCloud, our QBs from the last recruiting class? Has there been any word on them (about anything)?

This is misleading ... 2 assistants are dismissed, 2 left on their own.

Staff on the website hasn't changed, except OC.

They both redshirted, which is good.  No news is good news from a player who's redshirted.  Both of them are dual threat QBs and Battles has some serious arm talent and can run and McCloud can both run and pass... Both are better athlete than our current crop of QBs.  But no news is good news from them

If the OL isn't significantly better in 2019, then I hope one of these guys can win the job. Not crazy about BB behind that Line. Expectations aren't sky-high going into 2019, and apparently Charlie is locked in for a couple years, so let one of the dual threat guys take his bumps this year.

I can't see much success under CCS without a dual threat type QB at the helm

The Oline should actually be a strength.  This is the first season in years where we bring back the entire line.  We were starting 3 freshman and two Juniors at the end of last season.  The young guys were decent run blockers but pass blocking is something that comes with experience.  They should be straight...

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
