We bring back 5 DTs and the signing period is actually over until January 15th.  So they can still add players. Pickney Soph, Kegler Soph, Barber Freshman, Williams Freshman, and we redshirted the strongest guy on the team Leacock.  Also they're moving the true feshman Waller back to DT, he redshirted because of his size 6/4 342.  DT isn't that big of an need where he needs to run out recruiting it like that.  We were just very young there this year, so I'm not understanding how many DTs do you think the team will carry?   We will likely have 6

I like the PURGE... I think we'll be better for it.  It's mostly Taggart guys anyway.

The purge didn’t quite work out at Texas.  Lost to Kansas in year 3

He didn't need to rebuild! If he would have kept the systems in place and especially the GCO and restock on positions and even coach well then we would be in a good position right now!

+1 - If it ain't broke...

Keep in mind everyone, Michael Kelly has to be on board with this action. Thus, he has put all of his cards on the table in support of Strong.

Only one of the 11 was worth a **** and I did not see enough of him to know for sure (Bell).

Salomon was a 4* and let’s not forget his performance against C last year.  He did regress this year but is that coaching and development rather than innate talent.

True, but I can only go by his actions on the field...and that was not good.

Who knows how good or bad some of these players are if they checked out on this coaching staff?

This is trending as the Holtz era did. Skip did fairly well in year one, as did Strong. A pretty big decline in year two from both. Holtz sucked in year three, and Strong will have a much more difficult schedule in year three. Strong did poorly against a mostly garbage schedule this year, showed zero willingness to adjust, the team was in steady decline throughout the year, all the way through the bowl game. How much talent would we have to acquire to even be .500 in 2019 with the tougher schedule? Who believes Charlie is suddenly going to ditch his run-first, ball control style that hasn't worked here?

The good news it only took a year for a decent coach to right the ship that Charlie sunk in Texas .... so we got that going for us
