The QB in college football is the straw that stirs the drink.  If you don’t have a playmaker at this position you’re gonna struggle.  We saw what flowers did for us and UCF was winless shen Frost went to Hawaii and found some skinny kid that turned out to be a hell of a player that completely turned around their program.

Ok.  So we’ve seen BB for the bulk of the season and enough of CO and BK to say we don’t have a play maker at that position.  I know some are high on BB however I’ve seen enough to see why he’s on his 3rd stop.  Let McLeod and Battle each have a half in whatever crap bowl we play in.  They won’t burn their redshirts and at least we can see what we got.  Hopefully it’s with Shaun King calling the plays.  If neither show promise then hit the recruiting trail hard and this needs to priorty number one.

This! You can actually have a crappy overall team but if your QB is a stud you always have a chance. We’ve had a few good ones to show that and a few bad one to show that too. Like your point on letting Battle and McLeod get after it.

Doesn't matter who you bring in here Gilbert is in charge of the quarterbacks.

How does he still have a job the following day?

I'm not sure I understand why neither Battle of McCloud ever saw the field Friday.  Neither BK or CO looked overly effective in the last game.  Why not have something drawn up to utilize one of those guys?

Think that is why they called the TimeOut before the half . . . decided against it.

Did we try any trick play on Friday night? I don't remember seeing one but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. If not, I think we were the only under dog to not attempt a single trick play on Rivalry weekend.

We had a pass to a running back.  That is nearly a trick play with this offense.

I think Oladokun has the potential to be electric if developed correctly.  He has a little bit of Flowers in him and even throws a better ball.  But bringing in other QBs randomly to spell him during games will only hurt his development.

I really think that game could've gone a lot differently if we would've just stuck with him the whole game.

"We're only going to practice the HB dive until it works every time.  Then we can try other types of plays."

-Gilbert, probably

We need a coach who can develop a qb. We have a few on the roster, but they aren’t getting better through osmosis

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
