Interesting...so people who don’t like people standing in front of them during the game are “idiots?” Also I did not know one had to stand  in order to “cheer and have a good time.”

I didn't say you had to stand but you shouldn't say we have to sit either. I don't stand the whole game but I will definitely be standing when I get excited.

No, but the Tampa Sports Authority does:

Fans that enter RJS are asked to enjoy the game from the comfort of the seat indicated on their ticket. When fans stand, they block the view of fans behind them. It is not the intent to limit fans’ enjoyment of the game, but continuous standing in seating areas will not be permitted. Guests may choose to stand and watch the game in the end zone plazas, club lounges, or concourses. Please follow the directions of ushers and security.

Seems as clear as mud. Nick says he doesn’t stand the whole time, just when he gets excited, therefore it’s not continuous but an issue if he gets excited more often than the guy behind him.

I guess it depends on what their definition of, "continuous" is.  I stand when I'm excited too.

Hmmm...Nick Carroll's comment was " I don't stand the whole game but I will definitely be standing when I get excited." That's not the same as continuous standing. Not sure he would be violating any rules in that case?

Because anyone that’s sitting behind anyone standing defines continuous as being any degree more than them and TSA tends to accept that interpretation.

"We have met the enemy and he is us." -- Walt Kelly

I have experienced, unfortunately, that Bulls fans sometimes treat each other worse than any opposing fans.   The OP's comments seem to be an example of this.  I used to have much younger fans in the row directly in front of me who insisted in always standing, even though some of my friends and family were physically unable to.

For me, I stand and holler with the best of them at games when circumstances call for it but also sit when I think it would unnecessarily inconvenience fans behind me.  At Ray Jay I have made a conscious effort to get my seats on the top row of the lower bowl so I can stand without blocking anyone else's view.  I think it only take a little empathy, consideration and common sense.  However, I understand that everyone believes their POV (literally in this case) is the logical one, so this debate and dispute will go on and on and....

I'm a little surprised that there's this much of a debate over this. How often do you see a sporting event of any kind where 100% of the audience is seated all the time? Personally, I'm always sitting unless I have to stand because my view is obstructed. Unrealistic to expect nobody to stand. I would imagine that the 50 TD pass to Salomon, or the Sawtelle INT vs. GT had people watching at home get off their sofas in excitement. Just go with the flow.

This is simply not true

I am currently dating a UF grad (yeah yeah save the comments), and after the USF-GT game we drove to Gainesville and went to the UF-UK game. We did not sit down except for at halftime, and the vast majority of the stadium stood the vast majority of the time. Nobody in my section or visible in nearby sections watched seated. I also enjoy traveling and attending college football games in venues I have not yet been to, and have made it to nearly every SEC stadium for a home game. Folks stand up the majority time. They yell loudest during an opponent's 3rd down and after their team scores, but they yell early and often and are educated as fanbases about when it is appropriate to so so. I don't think I have been seated for much of any game (to avoid being the only person seated in the section) except at Tennessee. The opponent for that game happened to be an FCS opponent so that may have had something to do with it. We can split hairs about specifics, but the fact of the matter is that huge numbers of fans at schools with prominent football programs spend a majority of the time standing while watching their games.
