I will be in town for the GT game and looking for recommendations on good restaurants in Tampa. We are staying in the SoHo area.  We already have reservations for Bern’s.  Also any good alternatives to Columbia?  Thanks for any help.

In SoHo check out Ava (Joe Madden's Italian joint) and 717 South across the street.

How far do you want to go? Seminole Heights is ground zero for good food these days.

Charley’s is hands down my favorite restaurant here... Berns, you’ll pay for the experience but the food is ok

Beer - Coppertail

Steak - Charley's, Skin is right about Bern's, you pay for the experience

Sushi - SoHo and there's nothing even close, get a Red Dragon and thank me later

Other food - I can give you a list of Seminole Heights restaurants if you're interested, there's a ton of good stuff up here right now

Bern’s overrated?  Food is excellent and the experience is second to none in the area, especially for a visitor.

Second the Seminole Heights recommendation, a lot of great choices there.

Ahhh, Charley's ... The beginning place of an epic bachelor party night for me.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
