He is. I wasn't agreeing with him .... and it is a horse beaten beyond death. Just one last kick to the equine rib cage, Skip has been a successful head coach everywhere he's been except here.

Perhaps, but going from CUSA to the BE wasn't exactly like going to SEC.

And the main reason I'm continuing this Skip discussion in this particular thread is to show how freaking ridiculous it is to be talking about the thrill being gone NOW ...

But is it though? I may have been an early adapter and maybe that’s why I haven’t taken it as hard but during the fall of the program and the dissolution of the Big East everyone could pretend that losing was the only issue. For the first time since the Big East fell apart we are winning and winning a lot and it’s not making much of a difference in crowds, respect or feelings. Some people are realizing that winning wasn’t the missing ingredient that they were holding on hope for and so we don’t control our destiny and escaping the AAC isn’t just a wish but a necessity. And as for CUSA vs the Beast it was clearly a big enough difference for skippy to jump ship as well as anyone else ever invited to step up.

CWT found guys that could hack it in the classroom and on the field.  This excuse is worthless.  I don't feel like hijacking this thread because you chose to die on lame excuse ridge.

I'd give Skip a bit of a pass on the recruiting restrictions except that I watched him on the sidelines looking stunned and lost with a pocket full of time outs and a bag that never ran out of bad game day decisions. For whatever reason he didn't get it done in virtually every aspect of the job while he was here.

He was just a bad fit for our circumstances at the time as his success at other stops shows.  Just because you're a bad hire for one job doesn't mean your bad at your job.

I agree. He is doing a great job at LA Tech. I just think it was a bad fit at the time.
